Dear ones,
I am on the eve of one more trip to Morocco and thought I would shout out to you all to cover us in prayer. I don’t know how many times I have been to this wonderful country, but it is close to 40 times, for sure. God has given us an assignment to prepare the way for His Spirit to be poured out across North Africa. Many of those trips have been just dedicated to prayer and declaring the Word of God over the land, and this we continue to do. We have also been involved in encouraging the underground church as well as bringing relief aid to those suffering from a devastating earthquake that occurred in the Atlas Mountains a few years ago. Recently, Morocco has experienced rioting throughout the nation and severe police crackdown due to the unrest of the youth as well as radical, Islamic organizations. We don’t know what we will find, but we do need your prayers as we look for divine encounters and fruitful time with local leaders. On this trip, there will be just three of us traveling together and we plan to concentrate on the Western coastline of the country.
We will be just one week in Morocco and then back home to prepare for a more extended trip to Southeast Asia. I will leave on the 15th of November and return on the 9th of December. On this trip I will be ministering to leaders of the Bru tribe in the mountain regions of Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. I will also be with friends in Cambodia before reaching Thailand. I am sure the Lord has a lot of adventures planned out for this trip and I am spending this time at home preparing for this marathon trip. Pray for healing in the circulation in my feet. These long trips cause a lot of swelling and redness.
Helen will be staying home for these trips. Where I will be going will be a little too much for her, but she keeps busy with her prison work, art lessons and village life. We are still basking in the fun time we had in the States in September. Our highlight, for sure, was seeing our great-granddaughter, Eden Marie Reimer. What a beautiful baby, and, of course, great parents. We were also able to see our family in New York and South Carolina. Our S.I.M. board meeting was tremendous. We met this year in Louisville, Kentucky. It is such a privilege to walk in counsel with friends for nearly 50 years. We were also able to visit friends in the Kansas City area where we began our ministry. Can you believe it? In January, we will have been in full-time ministry for 50 years! Wow. God has been so GOOD and so FAITHFUL.
Keep us in your prayers. The Lord’s assignment for us is not over yet. More and more doors are opening for us in the nations and we want to be fit and ready for every opportunity He brings our way.
Be blessed and be a blessing.
Jim and Helen
