Greetings from Portugal!
Helen and I want to thank you all for the prayers and support for our last trip through Europe. It was a full five weeks ministering in four different churches in Germany, one in Italy and also in Albania. We decided to drive this time, seeing that we will be in so many different places. The week after Easter our grandchildren from Portugal, David and Lara, joined us and we were able to show them some of our favorite places in Southern Germany. We were also able to see our granddaughter Ruth dance in a performance of the Stuttgart Ballet. The kids stayed a week with us and then they flew home to continue their studies.
One weekend, I flew to North Macedonia then was picked up a pastor and we drove to Albania where I ministered over the weekend. It seems so amazing to think that just a little over 30 years ago Albania was considered the most closed nation to the Gospel. They prided themselves in their strict communist atheism and yet today they are so open to the Gospel and the churches are growing all over the nation. That is just God! After this, Helen and I took a few days off and celebrated my 75th birthday in Croatia, before heading back home. The drive took longer than expected because we stopped to minister in Italy and visit friends in Italy and France.
Our summer is going to get busy really fast now. Next week we will be in London for a conference, then back to Germany for a couple of days. At the end of this month we head to Angola for the graduation of two Bible schools and a national conference. Helen will stay only a week and then she returns and I go on to Mozambique to hold seminars and celebrate the anniversary of a local church in Maputo. Lord willing, I will also travel up to Vilankulo to prepare the grounds for a church plant. A day after I return home, Helen and I will travel to Sweden to minister in a church’s Family Camp.
These are busy days for us and we appreciate your prayers. We are excited with what God is doing and in this way you can partner with us.
Hugs
Jim and Helen
