Reimer Report – Fall 2020

jim reimer book

Dear Family and Friends,

After months of confinement, we are back on the road. For the next month we will be in Sweden and Germany, ministering in a number of different places and contexts. A good thing about this pandemic lockdown is that I was able to write a much-needed book on the theme  of spiritual warfare. It is entitled: Layered Warfare. I have been asked to minister on this theme in many different countries and this teaching tool will be able to go where I cannot.

We have lived by the principle of sowing and reaping for much of our married life, and we have seen miracle after miracle in the area of God’s provision. In thinking about the price that we should ask for this book, I felt that I should not put a price on it at all. We want people to participate in ministry by sowing instead of buying. So, if you would like the book, just give whatever you feel from the Lord to S.I.M., via our website: www.simissions.org (Select Paypal) and we will get it to you. Be sure to include your full mailing address.

In the future, we want to get the book on a Kindle or e-book format for those who want it on their computer or phone. We are needing more tech-help for this step to happen. I believe this book is an important teaching tool for the times in which we live. Pray that it will get into other languages and in the places where it is needed most. I am planning to use it as a manual in the Bible schools we are involved in and well with pastors’ seminars we have on our agenda.

The inspiration to write this book came from our ministry in Sweden.  For the past seven years I have been asked to teach on Spiritual Warfare at School of Lights, which has given me the incentive to develop a comprehensive teaching on this topic. Also, in Sweden, we were able to help some Satanists and New Agers get free from their demonic entanglements.

Stockholm has become an international city as they have received thousands of refugees from many different nations. Last year, Helen and I stayed with a young couple, who became like family to us. They received us with so much honor and openness. The man is from Eritrea and his wife is from Kosovo. Both are from Muslim, refugee families and came to know Christ in Sweden. They have suffered much persecution and rejection from their families, but through the Church have grown to become very effective leaders. While in their home we had some precious time sharing and praying together. One of the prayer requests they had was for children. I didn’t know that the doctors had said that the wife was sterile when we prayed. We received their testimony a couple of days ago:

Hi Jim and Helen,

We miss you guys so much! We hope everything is well with you.

We just wanna share an amazing testimony. Two months before you guys came to our home in September 2019, God gave us a promise in the Scriptures about the prophet and the woman who desired to have a child, and decided to open up her home for him. (2 Kings 4:16)

I don’t know if you remember, but the doctors gave us the breaking news…Infertility! But the last time you were here, you spoke into our lives and proclaimed while you were praying for us that this time next year, we will have a child. It was the same promise we had received from the Lord.

September, this year, our miracle child, Chloé Luana Samsons was born!!! Yeey!! Despite all the odds and the covid-19 that both of us had this summer, God protected our baby, and she was born healthy and beautiful. We just wanted to say thank you for blessing us and we miss you guys so much.

Much love….

Isn’t that a fantastic testimony? We have had some other great news from the new church plant that was the project of our Bible school in Mozambique. The young man who was set in as pastor and a young woman, who is presently a student are planning to marry this next year. I just knew this was a match designed by the Lord and when I called the pastor yesterday, I asked about their marriage plans. She said: “How did you know? They haven’t told anybody yet.” Well, it was one of those so obvious “feelings” that I had thought it was public knowledge. Does God have a sense of humor or what?

All is fine on the home front. We are healthy, praise God, and quite active in reaching out to the people in our area. We are careful, but not fearful, and definitely not stopping. So much to do.

Thanks for your prayers

Be blessed

Jim and Helen
